• Material: Mostly plastic (in standard version), though heavier-duty aluminium versions also exist from aftermarket / specialist parts suppliers.
  

• Installation / Removal:

  • To remove the old handle: first remove the full handle from the door, then remove the metal lock casing. There is a small black plastic catch at the base of the metal housing — use a small screwdriver to wedge the housing upward so it clears the catch. 

  • After removing the housing, you can take out the handle; the spring may be bent or broken in the old part
    

  • To install the new handle: push it into the same slot. When it's fully seated, the spring should click into place. Then re-install the metal housing and ensure it catches properly under the lower catch.
